Mrs. Yvonne Keefer Settle, 84, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Spring Lake Guest Care. Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Forest Park Cemetery-East. Officiating will be Larry Bass of Agape Hospice. Mrs. Settle was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Shreveport for sixty-one years. Mrs. Settle was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Settle and daughter Ann Settle Chess. She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Settle Kirby and husband, Sonny; three grandchildren, Catherine Chess Chen and husband, Jim, Colleen Kirby Roberts and husband, Drew and Ryan Kirby and wife, Amanda; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Keefer Auzine. The family requests that memorials be made in lieu of flowers to the American Diabetes Association. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Spring Lake Guest Care, especially: Angela, Penny and Sarah; and Donna Anderson of Agape Hospice.
