Mr. David Hay, Sr., age 72, of Carrollton passed away suddenly on October 28, 2009.
Mr. Hay was born in Haralson County on July 10, 1937, the son of the late James Fomby Hay and Sarah Helen Shaw Hay.
He served in the United States Air Force Reserves, was retired owner and contractor of David Hay Construction, and member of the Carrollton Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Melanie Hay Crenshaw of Newnan; son, James David Hay, Jr. of Mabelton; and four grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Dobson, Jackie Talley, and son-in-law, David Crenshaw.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Thursday, October 29, from 6p.m. until 8p.m.
In accordance with Mr. Hay’s wishes, his body was cremated.
