She was born on August 13, 1954, in Illinois, the daughter of Wade and Eva Shaffer Baxter.
Scherry was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and shopping.
She is survived by six children, Lori Andrews and her husband Paul of Higbee, MO, John Leisenring, Jr. of Canton, MO, Linda Hageman and her husband Brian of Kahoka, MO, Lisa Brooks and her husband John of Wayland, MO, Leann Clark of Alexandria, MO, and Lacy Miller, six grandchildren, Bailey Brooks, Abby Brooks, Gabby Brooks, Emma Brooks, Trinity Clark, and Drayden Leisenring.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Joey Hammond and one daughter, Lana Hammond.
Funeral services were held at 1 P.M. Thursday, October 29 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Rev. Bob Lane officiating. Burial was in the Gorin Cemetery, Gorin, MO.
