Mrs. Doris Smith Lathrop, age 94, of County Road 329, Wedowee, Alabama passed away October 23, 2009.
Mrs. Lathrop was born in Bancroft, Michigan on April 24, 1915, the daughter of the late William Wesley Smith and Elzoora L. Millard Smith.
She is survived by sons, Lee Lathrop of Holland, Michigan, Carl Lathrop of Wedowee, Alabama; grandchildren, Brian Lathrop, Glendale, Arizona, Lori McWhorter, Chesterton, Indiana, Lisa Heltzel, Cleveland, Tennessee, Elizabeth Walker, Douglasville, Georgia, Catherine Lathrop, Auburn, Alabama, and five great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ethan A. Lathrop.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In accordance with Mrs. Lathrop’s wishes, her body was cremated.
