Leo served in the U.S. Coast Guard in the South Pacific during World War II. He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, golf, travel and water sports. He loved to get together with his family who were very special to him.
He enjoyed a long, happy marriage of 62 years with his wife, Lois Johnson, who survives him. Also surviving are two daughters, Gale Hovell (Bill) and Debra Grigsby (Raiford); son, Allen Johnson; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be this evening, Wednesday, October 28 from 5-7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday at Forest Hills Memorial Park, followed at 3:00 p.m. by a service at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church, 6400 Richard B. Hardie Dr., Little Rock, officiated by Dr. Debbie Freeman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, c/o Scimitar Shriners, #1 Scimitar Circle, Little Rock, AR 72209 or Westover Hills Presbyterian Church.
