Lawrence Shigeo Sakamoto, age 69. Born in Lahaina, Maui, passed away on October 24, 2009. Retired from the Elevator Constructors Union as a Regional Director. Survived by wife Brenda; son, Lary (Naomi); daughter, Monica (Gary) Wong, and two grandchildren; also survived by brothers, Barry and Myles (Teresa). Services will be held on November 3, 2009, 4:00PM at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena. Services will also be held in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 21st, 4:00PM at Honpa Hongwanji, 1727 Pali Highway, Honolulu. Family requests casual attire and that flowers be omitted.
