Essie Mouille
(February 4, 1927 - October 26, 2009)

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge for Essie Mouille, age 82, the former Essie Vigie, who passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas.

Interment will be in First Pentecostal of Bayou Rouge Cemetery. Brother Dallas Shuff, pastor of First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge, will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Mouille was a native and lifelong resident of Palmetto. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge and was a very loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include five sons, Donald Ray Mouille, Sr. and his wife, Cathy, of Bayou Rouge, LeRoy Clifford Mouille, Jr. of Krotz Springs, Rod Mouille and his wife, Rachael, of Ville Platte, Bobbie Mouille and his wife, Annette, of Bayou Rouge, and Todd Mouille of Church Point; seven daughters, Pat Bihm and her husband, Barney, of Palmetto, Carol Grayson and her husband, Jimmey, of Melville, Glenda Mouille of Houston, TX, Darlene Mouille of NY, Terry Mouille of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Vickie Roberie and her husband, Scott, of Church Point, and Wendy Lefeaux of Church Point; one brother, L. G. Vigie of CA; three sisters, Hazel Smith of Baton Rouge, Anna Mae Phillips of Port Arthur, TX, and Rita Bell Meyers and her husband, Whitney, of Gulf Port, MS; twenty four grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Vigie and the former Artile Dupre; her husband, Leroy Clifford; one infant son, Jerry Wade Mouille; two brothers, Talbert Vigie and Versie Joseph Vigie, Sr.; three sisters, Mable Sagnibene, Buila Polozola, and Edmae Shexnyder; and three grandchildren.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge from 10:00 a.m until 10:00 p.m. Wednesday and will continue at First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Milton Eugene, Aaron Thomas Mouille, Charles Roy Sagona, Jr., LeRoy Anthony Mouille, Rod Mouille, Jr., and Rod Mouille, Sr.. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobbie Mouille and Zack Oprey.
