Marguerite Smith Bennett (October 16, 1916 - October 26, 2009) Guest Book | Sign Guest Book Send Flowers Marguerite Smith Bennett, 93, of Apex passed away Monday Oct. 26, 2009. Marguerite and her husband owned and operated “Bennett’s Clothing & Shoes” for over 25 years. She was a Sunday School Teacher at Apex Baptist Church for over 50 years. Marguerite also was a member of the Apex Volunteer Fire Department Fire Bells. A funeral service will be held by Rev. Phil Qualls on Thursday Oct. 29, 2009 in the Apex Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. The burial will follow in the Apex Cemetery. She is survived by son Charles and wife, Debra Bennett of Holly Springs; son, James Bennett of Apex; daughter, Cheryl and husband Mike Glover of Spring Hope; sister, Ruth Allsbrook of Cary; granddaughter, Bekki Bennett of Apex; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, family request donations are made to the Apex Baptist Church or to the Apex Volunteer Fire Department.
