Richard LINE

U.S. Veteran RICHARD EDWARD LINE, son of Lloyd and Martha See Line, was born July 16, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away October 23, 2009, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years.

On November 21, 1966, Richard dedicated his life to serving God and was baptized in Cleveland, Ohio. While in Lebanon, he was a member of the congregation of the Lebanon Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Richard attended and graduated from Chardon High School near Cleveland, Ohio. He made friends easily and cherished each of them.

On May 21, 1966, he was united in marriage with Una Moses. To this union was born two children, both surviving. Prior to his passing, he and Una celebrated forty-three wonderful years together.

Richard was a hard worker. He began working at A & P Grocery after graduation. He then worked for Fisher Body, also in Cleveland, Ohio. He worked there for a number of years prior to joining the United States Navy and after his return from the service. Richard also managed a dairy farm in Pennsylvania.

In 1973, he and Una moved to Tucson, Arizonia. They then moved to Wyoming for a period of time and back to Tucson in 1986. In 2004, they decided to move to Lebanon, Missouri to be closer to their family and grandchildren, where they remained until Richard’s passing.

Richard was an “outdoorsman” by nature. He enjoyed the Ozarks and hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed photography. However, nothing compared to the time spent and memories made with his adoring family.

Richard is survived by his wife Una of the home; his son, William Line and his wife Grace of Tucson, AZ; his daughter, Una Peters and her husband Richard of Lebanon; one sister, Joann Ettenger and her husband William, also of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Madelynn and Valerie Peters and Christina Shelton and her husband Rendell; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lloyd Line, Jr., his younger sister, Mary Line and one grandson, Anthony Peters.

Richard was a wonderful husband, caring father, fun-loving grandfather and loyal friend. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will miss him greatly.
