Eugene Kiser, 83, of Nitro, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Valley Center. He was a former employee of Libby-Owens-Ford Glass Co. and was owner of Gene’s Red X Service Station in Wisconsin. Mr. Kiser was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and WW II.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Kiser; son, Eugene Addison Kiser of Clarksburg; daughters, Joyce Sabel of Eleanor and Judy Taylor of Charleston; step-son, William Marty of Nitro; step-daughters, Patricia Westfall of Charleston and Linda Cowley of Nitro; brothers, Leo Kiser, Sr. and Tom Kiser of Wisconsin; sister, Bernice Taylor of St. Albans; ten grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 24, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Ronald Bates officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Kiser Cemetery, Jackson County.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
