Edna Pearl Merrill was born to Cholista Permelia Burton and George Harlan Merrill near Parkman in Sheridan County, Wyoming. She married Otha Marse "Sam" Grace on June 29, 1930 in the historic Occidental Hotel of Buffalo, Wyoming. They lived and worked on the Thane Ranch at Mayoworth, Wyoming until moving to Benton County, Oregon in 1940. Sam was in the timber and lumber industry. After Sam died in July 1977, she was married for a few years to George Ramsey of Corvallis.
Edna is survived by her only child, Patty Grace Isaacson and husband Howard of Vancouver, Washington; two grandchildren, Karen Leverich and husband Brian "Wolf" of Pine Mountain Club, California and Eric Isaacson and wife Sandra of Emmitsburg, Maryland and their two children, Brendan and Josephine Isaacson, her great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families,including Sherry Hanning and husband Darwin and Walter Merrill and wife Gloria, all of Philomath, Oregon; her brother-in-law Hartley King of Bonners Ferry, Idaho and sister-in-law Grace Merrill of Buffalo, Wyoming.
She was preceded in death by her father Harley Merrill, her mother Cholista Babione, her step-father George Babione, and her brothers, sisters and step-brother: George Merrill, Goldie (Merrill) Dixon, Harry Merrill, Gladys (Merrill) Eccles, Roy Merrill, Clyde Merrill, Myrtle (Merrill) King, Edward Merrill, Harvey Merrill, Daniel Babione and Percy Babione.
Viewing will be from noon on Tuesday, October 27th, at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints in Philomath, followed by services at 1PM. Burial will be at Mt. Union Cemetery.
