Valerie Ann Pack
(December 16, 1978 - October 20, 2009)

Valerie Ann Pack, age 30, of Beckley, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 20, 2009, at 3:25 a.m. at the Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, due to complications of asthma.

Valerie was born on December 16, 1978 in Beckley, she was the daughter of Robin Cook Pack of Beaver, and Randy K. Pack of Rock Creek, and the step-daughter of Toni Pack of Rock Creek.

Valerie was an employee of Daniels Veterinary Hospital, and was a member of the Glen Morgan Missionary Baptist Church at Glen Morgan. She had made Beckley and Beaver her home all of her life. She had a great love of all animals.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert L. Cook, and paternal grandparents Danny B. and Sylvia E. Pack.

Surviving other than her parents are two children, Brandon Keith Pack and Makayla Danielle Butler; her companion, Tyrone “Blackie” Butler of Beckley; a brother, Aaron Keith Pack and his wife Misty of Beckley; maternal grandmother, Elsie Cook of Beaver; three nephews, Isiaah Evans, Andrew and Ethan Pack; four special cousins, Kelli Lynn Stevens, Stephanie Lynn Stewart, Bill Cook and Dennis L. Cook Jr.; several aunts and uncles, and many special friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, with Pastor Ernie Moye Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
