Kenneth was born on November 22, 1970 in Richmond and was the son of Kenneth Sr. and Brenda Penix Lawson. He was a construction worker. Kenneth enjoyed NASCAR Racing, U.K. Wildcat Basketball, and other outdoor activities, including fishing and trailriding.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is survived by: two daughters, Michaela Marie Lawson and Miranda Rachelle Lawson, both of Richmond; one sister, Teresa Howard, of Salyersville, Kentucky; his grandfather, Eugene Lawson; one niece, Trista Howard; one nephew, Dustin Howard; one great-niece, Jacey Collins; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kenneth was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Beatrice Lawson, and his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Jeanette Penix.
Funeral services for Kenneth Lawson, Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Calvin Marshall and Marvin Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00- 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
