Darlene B. Quinn, age 88, of Auburn, NE. Passed away Friday, October 16, at the Good Samritan Society in Auburn, NE. A funeral for Darlene B. Quinn will be held Tuesday, October 20, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, NE. Burial will follow at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Peru, NE.

Visitation for Darlene Quinn is scheduled for Monday, October 19, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, NE. Family will greet friends from 5-7 on Monday.

Obituary Darlene Bell Barton daughter of Shirley Roy Barton and Burtis (Cogdill) Barton was born November 14, 1920 in Brownville, NE. She was one four children born to this marriage. Darlene was baptized at the Brownville Christian Church. She attended school in Brownville and completed one year at the Teaching Academy in Peru, NE.  She was united in marriage to Marion Hager to this marriage three children where born. Marion and Darlene later divorced. On October 18, 1944 Darlene was united in marriage to Grady Quinn and one daughter was born to this marriage. Darlene passed away just 2 days before her and Grady’s 65th wedding anniversary. She also raised Harold Vissor as one of her own children. Darlene lived in Peru, and Omaha for many years. She was an avid Bingo player and  Bowler winning many trophy’s. She moved to Auburn five years ago and lived at the high rise apartments. Due to ill health she entered Good Samaritan Society in Auburn on September 26,  and it is there that on Friday, October 16, 2009 she passed away having reached the age of 88 years, 11 months and two days. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers. and one infant daughter Shirley. She is survived by her husband Grady Quinn of Auburn, NE, children Kenny Hager and wife Lana of Dewitt, NE, Terry Hager and wife Sue of Nebraska City, NE, Carol Furnas and husband Lester of Brownville, NE, one sister Norma Groff of Cozad, NE, seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces nephews other relatives and many friends.
