Violet Gertrude Carmichael, 91 of Tulsa, passed away, Thursday, October 15, 2009. Born March 24, 1918 in McAlester, OK to the late William Ples and Mary Ann (Traut) Rock. Longtime member of Eastwood Baptist Church. She retired as Account Supervisor with the U.S. Corps of Engineers. Her husband, Glenn Carmichael preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Tom Carmichael of the home and one sister, Mary Rose Thompson of Verdegris, OK and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 11AM Monday, October 19, 2009 in the chapel of Freeman Harris Funeral Home. Private interment will be in Floral Haven Cemetery.
