Cremation Rites have been accorded. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Cullom in handling the arrangements. Memorials in Sharon’s name may be left to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Sharon was born on June 9, 1944 in Clifton, IL a daughter of Kenneth D. and Hazel Kathleen (Ferguson) Turner. She had been married to Wayne Ricketts and Merle Corban. She is survived by her daughter: Amy (Tim) Crouch of Cullom, IL and her son: Timothy (Janet) Ricketts of Braidwood, IL, grandchildren: Anthony Ricketts, Amber Crouch, Timmy Crouch, Tyler Ricketts, a step granddaughter: Jessica Pfeifer and seven other step grandchildren, and one great grandson: Braylon Ricketts. Also surviving is her brother: Richard (Sharon) Turner of Cullom and her special friend: Jerry Housel of Emington, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sharon was educated in Cullom Schools. She had worked as a Mutual Teller at Off Track Betting, was a Restaurant Manager at Boondocks in Emington, IL and had worked at County Market in the Meat Department. She was member of the Cullom United Methodist Church.
