Born November 4, 1925 in Lee Mont, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Hart and the late Oakley Hughes Hart.
Mary Catherine graduated from the former Accomac High School, and had worked at Roses Department Store and B&G Market for many years.
She is survived by two daughters; Robin Wessells of Onancock, and Daisey Jenkins of Accomac, two sons; Bobby Williams and his wife, Margaret Ann of Greenbush, and Larry Williams of Leemont, five grandchildren; Virginia Blomguist and her husband, John of Quinby, Stefanie Wessells of Onancock, Wesley Williams and his wife, Tamera of Parksley, Bobbie Jo Williams of Greenbush, and Matthew Wessells of Wallops Island, VA., six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 PM from the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley, with the Rev. Bob Smoot officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, 165 Market Street, Suite 3, Onancock, VA 23417.
