Donna Ruth Fowler, 74 of Pittsburg, Kansas passed away at 11:34 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009, at Cornerstone Village in Pittsburg, Kansas. She was born August 14, 1935, at Carthage, MO, the daughter of Walter Monroe Hartley and Ruth Hanna (Ditamin) Hartley. She graduated from Carthage High School. She was married to Robert B. Fowler. They later divorced. Mrs. Fowler owned and operated Kansas City Star Distributorship, Camelot Cleaners and Alan’s Alter Bread. She worked for Mission Clay from 1980 to 2007 as an Administrative Assistant. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altar Society and St. Pauls Widowers Group. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Fowler of Monson, MA and Sharon Fowler of Kansas City, KS, one granddaughter, Kayla Christine Fowler of Kansas City, KS, one sister Imogene Kaughman of Carthage, MO, and 10 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Sandra Ann Fowler Breedlove and four siblings. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 Thursday (October 15th) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Thomas Stroot as celebrant. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday (October 15) at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. There will be a parish rosary at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brenner Mortuary with a visitation following until 8:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the Altar Society These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
