BOARDMAN—There will be a funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive, Boardman, OH, celebrated by Pastor David Joachim for Rick F. Hughes, who passed away Tuesday at his residence. Mr. Hughes was born September 25, 1971, in Paducah, Kentucky, a son of Jerry W. and Brenda J. Cummings Hughes. He was a 1989 graduate of Boardman High School and graduated with honors from ITT as an electronic engineer. He worked for Valvoline in Boardman and Austintown. Rick was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Youngstown Dart Association and the Youngstown Pool League. He loved to read and loved his nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and grandmother, Alma V. Cummings of Montgomery, Texas, he leaves two sisters, Michelle R. (John) VanWie of Clarksville, Indiana and Amy Sorvillo of Boardman; a brother, Patrick B. (Michelle) Hughes of Poland; his nieces and nephews, Kara, Kaylee and John Sorvillo and Brandon and Zachary VanWie. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in church and from 11-1 p.m. Friday in church.
