Jeanne Anne Riley

Jeanne Anne Riley, age 56, of Arkadelphia, lost her eight year battle with breast cancer on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born on July 7, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Eugene John and Mary Catherine Engle Albert. Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was an administrative assistant at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia and a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. Jeanne was a licensed real estate broker and worked in property management for nineteen years at Sunbay Resort in Hot Springs. She and her husband operated McDonalds in Caddo Valley for seven years. Jeanne was preceded in death by her son, Roger Riley, Jr. After his death, Jeanne became very active in cancer awareness.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Riley, Sr. of Arkadelphia, her daughter, Allison Gaither of Arkadelphia, her grandson, Roger Dylan Gaither, her brother, Mark Albert (Eileen) of Hot Springs Village, four sisters, Cheryl Kastner (Dale) of Hot Springs Village, Suzie Connelly (Tom) of St. Louis, MO, Laura Jean (David) of Benton and Lynne Geiling (Kevin) of Jessieville.

A celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Welch Funeral Home with Aaron Holt officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roger Dylan Gaither Education Fund at Summit Bank, 409 Main Street, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
