AUSTINTOWN—Prayers will begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman followed by a Mass of Christian Burial concelebrated by Father Gregory Fedor and Father Edward Noga at Saint Joseph Church for Jane J. Nickoloff, 86, who passed away Wednesday evening at the Hospice House. Mrs. Nickoloff was born July 17, 1923, in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Josephine Andres Urban and was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1940 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. Jane had been the co-founder of the Health Food Center in downtown Youngstown with her husband in1947. Jane was a charter member of St. Joseph Church and former member of Saint Christine Church in Youngstown and Saint Joseph the Provider Church in Campbell. She was a member of the Greenbrier Garden Club, former member of the Youngstown Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau and National Natural Food Association. Mrs. Nickoloff was a supporter of the Youngstown Symphony and the Ballet Western Reserve. Jane served on the Board of the Garden Forum of Greater Youngstown. Her husband, Cyril Nickoloff, whom she married September 20, 1945, died April 1, 2000. She leaves three daughters, J. Joyce (Ron) Talkowski of Columbus, Judith A. (Michael) Mihok of Moon Township, PA and Nancy E. (Edward) Fox of Canfield; and seven grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Talkowski, Stephanie (Andrew) Karas, Morgan Mihok, Zachary Mihok, Nicole Fox, Natalie Fox and Noelle Fox. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lottie Maron and Stephanie Sooy and a brother, Joseph Urban. Jane’s family wishes to thank her caregivers, Margie, Cathy, Jane, Sophie and especially Joann Fani for the love and care they gave to their mother and their grandmother.
