A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Gloria Gersie Ledet 65, the former Gloria Gersie Boutte, on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Lydia, LA with Rev. Donovan Labbe, officiating.
She will await the resurrection at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Patoutville, LA.
A gathering of family and friends will be at the church on Saturday 8:00 a.m. until time of service, with a Rosary recited at 10:00 a.m.
A native New Iberia and resident of Grand Marais, LA, Mrs. Mrs. Ledet passed on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 2:20 a.m. at Iberia Medical Center. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, Always the Lady Pokeno C and former member of Les Ami Social Club.lub. Mrs. Ledet was retired from Jeanerette Mills after 22 years of employment. She enjoyed family gatherings, trips to the casino and sharing special times with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. He last days were spent remembering the special times with the love of her life, Lambert before his passing.
She leaves in Gods care, 2 sons, Laymond J. Ledet, Sr., (Lemera) and Lorey J. Ledet and 1 adopted son, Blake Alexander all of Grand Marais, LA; 1 daughter, LaSondra Ledet of Grand Marais, LA; 2 brothers, Leroy Boutte (Wilda) and Irvin Boutte (Jean) of Grand Marais, LA; 2 sisters, Linda Cormier (Wilbert) of Lafayette, LA and Helen Boutte White (Aaron) of Houston, TX; 4 sisters-in-law, Geneva and Linda Boutte of New Iberia, LA, Leanna Boutte of Houston, TX and Ruth Boutte of Grand Marais, LA; 4 grandchildren, Mariah Ledet of Grand Marais, LA, Logon Ledet of Dallas, TX, Laymond Ledet, Jr., and Taylor Sparrow of Grand Marais, LA; 3 godchildren, Peter Lionel Olivier, Peter Broussard and Bridge Canales; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
She now joins in glory with her husband, Lambert Joseph Ledet; parents, Travis Boutte and Mary D. Boutte; brothers, Raymond Boutte, Sr., Wilson Boutte, Alvin “Buck” Boutte; sisters, Lillie Mae “Feo” Boutte and Glenda Boutte.
