Going Home Services will be held for Mrs. Ida S. Abraham, 67 the former Ida Marie Small on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral Home, New Iberia, LA with Rev. Adam Curley, officiating.
She will await the resurrection at St. Matthew Cemetery, New Iberia, LA.
A native and resident of New Iberia, LA, Mrs. Abraham passed on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Iberia Medical Center.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until time of service
She leaves in Gods care, her companion, David Antoine of New Iberia, LA; 3 sons, Aaron Abraham, Jr. of Jackpot NV, Shawn Abraham of St. Martinville, LA and Evander Abraham of New Iberia, LA; 3 daughters, Cheryl Abraham, Cassandra Abraham of New Iberia, LA and Valarie Guy of St. Martinville, LA; 2 special godchildren, Tonya Patterson of New Orleans, LA and Kitty Reynolds of New Iberia, LA; 1 sister, Willie Mae Coleman of North Fork, VA; 27 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She joins in glory with her parents, Ernest Small and Elizabeth Gaddison Small; husband, Aaron Abraham, Sr., and grandson, Curleydreus Abraham, stepson, Edward Lockette and brother Arthur Fredrick.
Active pallbearers are Ronald Reynolds, Robert White, Jr., Jermaine Antoine, David Antoine, Jr., Jeremy Vital and Nalton Hamilton.
Honorary pallbearers are Shawn Rankin, Lamont Rankin, Ladareion Hines, Curleyreus Abraham, Rallen Abraham, Evander Abraham, Sr., Shawn Abraham, Sr., Aaron Abraham, Jr. and Paul Welcome.
