He was born October 8, 1939 in Evergreen, AL. Mr. Williams was a long time resident of Monroeville and a member of the Lyeffion Baptist Church in Conecuh Co., AL. He retired from the City of Monroeville as a Grounds Supervisor after 15 years service. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his daughter, Veronica Williams. Survivors include: his wife, Melba N. Williams of Monroeville, a son, David Williams(Cristie) of Pike Road, AL, 4 brothers, Sammy Williams of Greenville, AL, Frank Williams of Owassa, AL, Dwight Williams of Saraland, AL, and Teddy Williams of Owassa, AL. 4 sisters, Diane Stinson of Evergreen, AL, Becky Booker of Pine Orchard, AL, Deborah Scruggs of Camden, AL, and Phyllis Williams of Deland, FL. and 2 grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Pineville Cemetery, Monroeville, AL. with the Rev.
