Funeral services for Mrs. Syble Latrecia Rae were held on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at 2:00p.m. at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett. Bro. Marvin Roberts of the Church of Christ in Magnolia officiated. Interment followed the services at Sardis Cemetery. Mrs. Rae passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2009, at her residence on Lake Limestone. She was born on July 7, 1924, in Hobart, Oklahoma to Clifford and Gertrude (Lassiter) Phy. Syble was known as the “Love Rock” to her family and friends. Syble adored her family, cherished her friends and above all served and loved God. She enjoyed entertaining, gardening and traveling. She and her loving husband of almost sixty-one years, Raymond Lloyd Rae, always welcomed guests into their home no matter the time of day or night. Syble and her husband moved to Lake Limestone a short five years ago. Previously they made their home in New Caney, TX where they had resided for twenty-seven years. Mrs. Rae was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Gertrude(Lassiter) Phy, her twin brothers, Bob and Bill Phy. She is survived by her devoted husband and caretaker, Raymond Lloyd Rae of Jewett; three children, David Tipps of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bob Tipps & wife Cathy of Houston, and Pamela Rae Danko of Jewett; six grandchildren, Tony Colvin & wife Karen of Austin, Kelli Fulcher & finace' Brett Smith of Boerne, Robert Tipps & wife Amanda of LaGrange, Diane Tipps of Houston, Stephanie Bradley & husband Aaron of Houston, and Vincent Tipps of Oklahoma City OK; six great- grandchildren, Dylan Fulcher, Taylor Bradley, Trenton Bradley, Adam Colvin, Meghan Tipps, and Andrew Tipps; other relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers are: Kelli Fulcher, Robert Tipps, Aaron Bradley, Dylan Fulcher, Brett Smith and Stephanie Bradley. Honorary Bearers are: Adam Colvin and Trenton Bradley. She received care for her final days in the comfort and love of her home. She so appreciated the constant love and devotion of her husband, Raymond Lloyd and daughter Pamela Rae Danko. The staff of Providence Hospice of Mexia, and Healthwise Home Healthcare of Mexia, provided tremendous support and care. The family also appreciates their loving neighbors for their constant support.
