U.S. Veteran Andrew "Red" Cox age 88 of Dyersburg U.S. Navy WWII veteran died Monday, September 14, 2009 at Oakwood Manor. He was Steward's Mate 1st Class he received a Honorable discharge, Victory Medal, American Theatere Medal and Asistic-Pacific Medal Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2009 2:00p.m at Salter's Chapel AME Church with Rev. Johnny Jones officating. Visitation will be 12:Noon until time of service at the church. Burial will be held in the M.C.C.O. Cemetery, Newbern, TN. Survivors: (4)Daughters, Betty Boxley, Frankie Renay Cox, Dyersburg, TN Bobbie Cox (Richard) Henderson, Harford,CT. Delina Wallace, Memphis, TN. (5)Sons: Robert Lee Cox, Benton (Arnita) Cox, James Roy (Joyce) Cox, Billy Ray (Sherry) Cox, Lynn Wallace Dyersburg, TN. Pallbearers: Jamal Henderson, David Cox, Dwight Cox, Dewayne Cox, Robert Cox Jr., James Boxley, Issac Boxley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tilda Alexander Cox, Daughter, Merlene Cox Brown, (2)Sons: Willard Marshall Cox, Carl Cox (1) Brother, Havers Cox.
