Funeral services for Charles Edward Turner, 77, of Butler will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals in Tifton, GA. Burial will follow in Union Grove Church of God Cemetery. Mr. Turner passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Pine Pointe Hospice. He was of the Baptist Faith and served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964. He was a truck driver for 57 years. He retired from Manfredi Motor Transit where he had earned several million mile awards.

Survivors include one son, Richard Edward Turner of Roberta; one daughter, Rhonda Turner Collins (Danny) of Butler; four brothers, Fred Albert Turner of Anniston AL, James Turner of Heflin, AL, Rob Turner of Fitzgerald and Bobby Turner of Tifton; one grandson Jeremy Childree of Butler; and special caregiver, Laurie Campbell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at McLeighton Funeral Service in Roberta and on Friday from 1 to 3 at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals in Tifton, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210 or Hospice Care Options, 136 Hospital Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
