Thelma E Cottman

this earthy life on August 21, 2014 at Prospect Park Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving and caring family. Thelma was born in Chester, Pa. to the late Marion Sanders and Mary Scott Kirkland. She was a graduate of Germantown High School, class 1964 and Taylor Business School. Thelma worked as a case worker for The Department of Public Welfare. She was a member of St. Luke Community Christian Church in Chester where she was an usher and at one time held the office of recording secretary , member of the finance committee, and treasurer of the Marriage Couples Ministry. Thelma was also a member of The Usher’s Association of Chester and Vicinity. In addition to her parents, Thelma was also pre-deceased by her maternal grandmother Leslie Moore, and her paternal grandmother Louise Sanders. Thelma’s beautiful memory will forever live in the hearts of her husband Lloyd S. Cottman, her children: Tracey N. Cottman, Douglas S. Cottman {Teresa}, and Kristoffer S. Cottman, 6 sisters: Brenda Morris, Florence Walker, Emma Jennings {Sylvester}, Renee’ Morris, Carolyn McNair {David}, and Sabrina Tilghman, 5 brothers: James Morris, William Morris {Joanne}, Reginald Morris, Raymond Morris {Gail}, and Robert Morris, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 4 special god children, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Service: Thursday August 28, 2014 11:00 am at St. Luke Community Christian Church 4th Street & Central Ave. Chester Viewing: 9:00 am - 10:30 am Usher’s service: 10:30 am.
