Newbury, NH-Stephen Charles Noyer, 60, died on Sunday, August 17, 2014. He was born in Lakeville, MA on February 4, 1954.
Steve graduated from Old Rochester Regional High School, Mattapoisett, MA, in 1972 and then from Purdue University, Lafayette, IN in 1976, where he studied environmental science. After college, he returned to Mattapoisett where he and his brother Robert owned Fox Enterprises, a construction company, for 15 years. Steve moved to Newbury, NH in 1995 and worked at White Mountain Imaging where he was employed at the time of his death.
A member of the Audubon Society and the Appalachian Mountain Club, Steve was an avid birdwatcher and hiker. He was at home in the woods and the mountains, loved adventuring to new places with family and friends, or just sitting by a cozy campfire.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert F. Noyer and his brother, Timothy Noyer. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Michele Noyer of Newbury, NH; five sons, Christopher and his wife, Shannon of Cambridge, MA, Michael of Newbury, NH, Daniel of Chesapeake, VA, Matthew and Cole both of Newbury, NH; a granddaughter, Miya; his mother, Joan (Hickey) Noyer of Mattapoisett, MA; two brothers, Robert Noyer, Jr., and his wife, Pam, of Mattapoisett, MA, Peter Noyer and his wife, Bozena of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Mary Magee and her husband, Paul of Mattapoisett, MA; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church, 27 Church Street, Mattapoisett, MA.
