Bennie Leonard Wintermote

Bennie Leonard Wintermote, 66, of Bancroft, passed away Friday, August 15th, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 2 PM at Mowen Funeral Home - William A. Scarlett Memorial Chapel. Friends are invited to call on the family on Monday from 12 PM to 2 PM. Final rest at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Bennie was born May 7, 1948, in Witchita, Kansas, the son of William Leonard and LaVonna Ruth (Pieland) Wintermote. He is married to the former Myrna Joyce Ross. Bennie served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Returning home, Bennie worked at GM - Flint V-8 Engine Plant for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He was member of UAW Local #659. Bennie loved motorcycles and was a member of the Owosso Iron Wheels.

Those who cherish his memory include: wife, Myrna; children, Angela (Mike) McDaniels, Lesa (Mitchell) Ross, Shawn (Janet) Wintermote, Keasha (Ed) Tuttle, Phyllis (Ken) Hickmott; grandchildren, Kristy Gould, Joshua McDaniels, Emily Wintermote, Samantha Gould, Kaely Tuttle, Laurynn Wintermote, Eddie Tuttle III, Shayn Wintermote, Makayla McDaniels, Amanda Hickmott and Kenny Hickmott; great granddaughter, Sofia Munoz; sisters, LaDonna (John) Headrick and Nellie Ann (Tony) LaValley; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
