Bobby Wayne Elliott, 68, received healing from his Lord and Savior Tuesday, August 5, 2014.

Bobby was born October 29, 1945 in Fries, Virginia to Wayne Elliott and Dorothy Reavis Belton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step mother Dorothy Elliott.

Bobby proudly served his country for 6 years in the US Army. He was the owner of Elliott's Tax Service. An active member of the Baywood Wesleyan Church serving as treasurer and other positions for many years. He was also a member of the Fries Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years and member of the Gideon's International-Fries Camp.

He was survived by his wife Darlene Sawyers Elliott of the home; step father Ray Belton of Baywood, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law: Gary and Kelly Elliott of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; Jimmy and Ginger Elliott of Galax, Virginia; six granddaughters: Krista Cox and husband Kelly; Mikayla Elliott; Carley Elliott all of Pilot Mountain; Chasity Elliott, Lindsay Elliott and Whitney Elliott all of Galax, Virginia; sisters and spouses Janice and Doug Warf of Memphis, Tennessee; Wanda and Alan Wingate of Galax; Carolyn and Ronnie Hamm of Woodlawn; Sharon and Randall Carico of Galax; Patricia Elliott of Hillsville; Sheila and Mike Perry of Fries; brothers and spouses: Jack and Carolyn Elliott of Walkertown, North Carolina; Kenneth and Kay Belton of Baywood; Terry and Jennifer Elliott of Galax. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral will be held Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Baywood Wesleyan Church with Pastor Barry Miller and Rev. Jack Elliott officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service.

Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by Grayson VFW Post 7726.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
