Among the many other community organizations to which she gave her time over the years were the Framingham Public Schools, Cub Scouts, and several child care centers. In her free time, Polly loved to read, travel the world, and keep in touch with her large network of friends.

Besides her husband Sam, she is survived by her three sons, Daren and Todd of Boston and Grant Swisher of Chicago, IL, as well as her brothers, Allen and Gerald Snyder.
