Diamond Cody Cooper, age 19, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014. He was born on January 4, 1995 in Hobart, Indiana to Roy Boy and Debra Cooper. Cody was currently the owner of Roy Boy’s Badlands Tattoo Shop in Gary. He enjoyed riding BMX Bikes and motorcycles and started riding them when he was just three years old. Cody dreamed of one day being able to restore old motorcycles.
Cody is survived by his mother, Debra Cooper; grandparents, Don and Marylan Hill; step brothers, Blake Cooper, Adam Cooper and Roy Cooper Jr.; uncles, Jeff (Darla) Hill and Dave (Jenny) Hill; aunt, Candy Cooper and niece, Devyn Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Boy Cooper; grandparents, Roy and Monafae Cooper. Memorial contributions in Cody’s name may be made to Grace Church of the Nazarene.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 25, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana. A funeral service for Cody will take place Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 5630 Clem Road, Portage with visitation there from 10:00 am until the time of service.
