Jack Frye Scott

U.S. Veteran

Jack Frye Scott, 85, of Kearneysville, WV passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at his residence.

Born October 17, 1928 in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of the late Charles “Jack” William Scott and Laura Moore Frye Scott.

Jack was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Wardensville, WV.

He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.

Beginning at Peoples Bank in Charles Town, Jack was a 39 year banker in Jefferson County, retiring in 2002. He was a 50 year member of Malta Lodge #80, A.F. & A.M., Jackson Perks Post # 71 of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #948, all in Charles Town, WV. He also was a member of the Scottish Rite and the VFW in Wardensville, WV.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Tricia, at home; one son, Gary B. Scott and wife, Ruth of Charles Town, WV; one daughter, Debra S. Hammer and husband, Roy “Sonny” of Aiken, SC; and one stepson, Michael E. Kisner II and wife, Amy of Baton Rouge, LA; six grandchildren, Carolyn Parker and husband, David of Lubbock, TX; Samantha Kennedy and husband, Liam of Cumberland, MD; Megan Hammer of Aiken, SC; Sara Hammer of Rock Hill, SC; Grant and Luke Kisner of Baton Rouge, LA and 5 great grandchildren, Clayton, Hope, Reese, Eogan and Eamon.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald R. Scott.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Dr. Henry Christie officiating.

Interment will be in Greenfield Cemetery in Wardensville, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7-9 pm.
