Donavan W. Pederson, born August 23rd 1938, died peacefully on July 13, 2014. Donavan was born in Sauk Centre, MN where he grew up on a farm and developed a strong work ethic and love for the outdoors and hunting. He later attended the University of Minnesota after serving in the US Coast Guard. He married his high school sweetheart Tuppy (Doege) and they were married for 42 years until her death in 2003. Donovan spent the bulk of his professional career with Control Data where he worked internationally, after retiring from Control Data he was involved in several entrepreneurial ventures and volunteered regularly at Peace House in Minneapolis. Don had many hobbies including his love for flying small airplanes and golfing. As a pilot he brought his family on many trips and always enjoyed flying to visit friends and family. An avid reader and great conversationalist, he will be remembered for his humor, charm and ability to easily make friends. Don is preceded in death by his wife Tuppy, his siblings Bob and Beverly. He is survived by his siblings Gene (Betty) and Diane (Jim), as well as his three children: Gretchen (Bob), Gwen (Mike) Martin, Dan (Krissy) and grandchildren Walter, Marty, Erica, Ellie, Maisy, Georgia, Henry, Anna, Bjorn. Local visitation July 17th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at O’Halloran & Murphy 575 Snelling Ave, St. Paul. Hometown funeral and burial July 18th at 11:00 am, with visitation starting at 10:00, Our Lady of Angels 207 7th St. South, Sauk Centre, MN .
