Robert M. Burns, age 67, of Edwards, Missouri passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at his home. He was born on July 7, 1947 in Eudora, Missouri the son of Ed and Virginia Claybough.

He served his country in the United States Air Force until his retirement in 1988. He then moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. He was a member of the Shrine, Masonic Lodge and the VFW.

On September 9, 2010 he was united in marriage to his wife Marilyn. Bobby enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball. He was a loving and caring father who will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Robby Burns and a brother Thomas Burns.

He is survived by his wife, one son Johnny Burns and his wife Charlotte, of Warsaw, three brothers; Jimmy Burns, of San Antonio, Texas, Allen Burns, of Alabama and Raymond Burns, of New York, two sisters, Linda Floyd, of Humansville, Missouri and Sharon Cordell, of Nixa, Missouri.

He is also survived by four stepsons; Michael Knight, of Montana, Mark Knight, of Kansas City, Kansas, Ted Knight of Kansas City, Kansas and Bernie Knight of Arkansas and a stepdaughter, Jennifer Johnson of Warsaw, many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Robert M. Burns will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial and military rites will be in the Eudora Cemetery in Eudora, Missouri. Visitation will be Monday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
