Clifford Jones, 58, of Pathfork, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 10, 2014, at his home. He was born September 26, 1955, at Pathfork and had lived here all of his life.
Clifford was a former coal truck driver and was known as “Wild Child” on the C.B. radio. He drove for several different companies over the years. Clifford enjoyed the outdoors and often went four-wheeling in the mountains to hunt ginseng. He liked to fish and spend time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Levi Jones and Mary Orr Jones.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Melody Hensley Jones; his daughter, Evelyn Rose Jones; and his son, Clifford Andrew Jones; three grandchildren, William, Matthew and Kianna Jones, all of Pathfork; two brothers, Jimmy Jones and wife Opha, of Smith; Tommy Jones and wife Sally, of Pathfork; two sisters, Lossie Jones and Julie Jones, both of Pathfork; nieces, Jamie Jones, Pathfork; and Libby Moore and husband Jody, of Virginia; nephew, Caleb Jones, of Smith; great niece, Miranda Moore; and great nephew, Phillip Moore; as well as a host of close friends and former co-workers that he loved.
Visitation for Clifford will be after 5 pm Friday evening at the Black Star Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the church with the Rev. Jody Moore and the Rev. J.C. Craig officiating.
Burial will follow at the Saylor Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
