Dubbie Joe Graham, 68, of Savanna, Oklahoma, died July 7, 2014 at Baylor Health Care Center in Dallas, Texas.
The family will receive visitors from on July 10, 2014 between the hours of 6-8pm at Bishop Funeral Service.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Savanna Public School Cafetorium. Officiating will be done by Pastor Stuart Rising and Joe Brown. Honorary Pallbearer: Curt Rampp, Jerry Talley, Joe Brown, Phil Hatridge, Brian Renegar, Eric Bolding, Rick Reynolds, Don Capps, Haskell Melton, Harold Glen, Farrell Cunningham, Cody Maldin, Edgar Herring, Gary Reeder, Brian Reeves, Jeff Razzo, Joseph Jones, Jeff McGaugh, Paul Newport, Chad Kincade. Interment will follow at Savanna Cemetery.
Born October 27, 1945 in McAlester, Oklahoma, son of Troy and Louise (Tate) Graham. Dubbie Joe grew up in Savanna and was a graduate of Savanna High School. While in school, Dubbie Joe was very athletic and enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball. He married Glenda Walkup on October 1, 1965 in Savanna and they made their home there. Dubbie Joe worked over 40 years as a journeyman lineman for Public Service Company of Oklahoma and loved his job. He also enjoyed team roping, traveling, vacationing and spending time with his family down on “the farm” or anywhere else. He was a member of the Savanna School Board and retired from Savanna Volunteer Fire Department after 20 years of service.
He is survived by: His wife, Glenda Graham of the home. His sons: Tracy Graham of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Todd Graham of McAlester, Oklahoma, Tyler Graham and wife, Lori of Savanna, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Austin Graham of McAlester, Oklahoma, Zackary Graham of Savanna, Oklahoma, Nickolas Graham of Savanna, Oklahoma. Sister: Peggy Burks of Savanna, Oklahoma. Sister-in-law: Darlene Rising and husband, Stuart of Savanna, Oklahoma. Niece: Crystal Jones and husband, Joseph of Norman, Oklahoma and their children: Kolby and Haydn.
He was preceded in death by: his mother and father, Troy and Louise Graham; his maternal grandmother, Rishie Tate; a sister, Sandra Mae Graham and his mother and father-in-law: Lenore and Eual Walkup.
