Carthage - Mary A. Condino, 85, of 231 State St., died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, in the Country Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center where she has resided for 5 years.
Mary was born in Watertown on July 30, 1928, the daughter of the late Dominic and Marion Geglia Pepe. She was a graduate of Immaculate Heart Academy. She married Anthony J. Condino on September 4, 1950 in St. Anthony’s Church, Watertown with Monsignor Claude Sechi officiating. Mary was active in the operation of Condino Motors Inc. where she held the position of Secretary-Treasurer for many years. Her husband Tony died on May 8, 2001. Mary was a member of St. James Catholic Church and sang in the choir for many years. She was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella and member of the Carthage Area Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by one brother: John Pepe of Adams, a brother-in-law, James F. Condino of Carthage and several nieces and nephews. Her brother, Frank Pepe and a sister, Rosalie Ames died previous. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11th at 11:00 AM at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home with the Rev. George F. Maroun officiating. Burial will be in Old St. James Cemetery, Carthage. There will be no calling hours.
