Everett James Sharp Jr. born on October 4, 1951 in Fletcher, North Carolina passed away on July 1, 2014 at the age of 62. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife Nora L. Sharp; mother, Annie Sharp; daughter, Nichole Huges; son, Everett (Jay) Sharp III; sisters, Wanda Harness and husband, Dennis, and Shelia Waldrop and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Lindsey, Sharp, Austin Huges, and Maddi Maltocha; numerous extended family and friends.

Everett was a wonderful son, husband,father and grandfather. He was a dedicated teacher,and taught at Highlands High School, MLK Middle School, and NAMS South. He enjoyed playing instruments, being outdoors and painting. His best times took place when he was surrounded by family and friends. He could always make others smile with his sense of humor. He will always have a place in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Chuck McCullough .

Family and friends will gather on Monday, July 14, 2014 for a Committal Service at 11:15 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
