U.S. Veteran

Mr. Sexton was born at Independence, Virginia, to the late john Fielden Sexton and Lelia Miller Sexton

He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Surviving, wife, Betty L. Sexton of the home; three sons, Jack (Michelle )Sexton, Mark (Sharon) Sexton and Gary Sexton all of Bel Air, MD; Stepson, Michael King of Seattle, Washington; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three brothers, Clarence T. Sexton of Gala, VA, Harold T. Sexton of Wytheville, VA and Leon H. Sexton of Indian Head, MD; one sister, Leila Belle Altice of Daytona Beach, FL, and several nieces and nephews also survive

Graveside service will be held Sunday at 2:00 P.M. July 6, 2014 at Independence Cemetery, Independence, VA Service will be conducted by Grover King VFW Post 1115, Hillsville, VA There will not be a visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family sincerely request memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 7017, Roanoke, VA 24019-0017
