Helen lived in Bennington most of her life. She became a retailer with her sister Effie Kapetan when they opened their store The Young Sophisticates in the 70’s. She later worked for the Vermont Department of Social Services from which she retired.
Helen’s life passion was love of family, taking pride in her home and her enjoyment of cooking and baking for others. In her later years Helen’s focus included her position at the Bennington Free Library, her bridge games, knitting, cooking and of course more cooking.
