Mr. Billy Jack Kiser, age 84, a resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, June 25th in Christus St. Michael Health System, Texarkana.
He was born to Leo Dellon and Betty Mae Farmer Kiser, in De Queen, Arkansas, on March 5, 1930. He was a retired Lt. Colonel, serving with the U S Army, and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was also retired executive administrator for the Housing Authority and served as a VA Benefits Officer. He was a member of De Queen Rotary, where he served as past president, a Paul Fellow recipient, and was a member of the AARP #2078. He enjoyed reading, and loved animals, especially his dog, BeeBob.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Lou Dellon Stephens.
He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Joan Short Kiser of De Queen, two daughters and a son-in-law, GayLynn Kiser of Austin, Texas, Jennifer and Bobby Bagley of De Queen, a granddaughter, Chrystal Morgan Sweeden of De Queen, a brother, Harrol Lee Kiser of Georgetown, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services with Military Rites for Mr. Billy Kiser will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10:00 A.M., in Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home
