Wilma June Brooks

Wilma June Brooks, 77 of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Valley Haven Geriatric Center.

She was born on March 21, 1937 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Albert William and Lola Victoria (Forsythe) Stewart, Sr. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, William Richard Brooks, Sr., and second husband, Richard A. Ohler, her son, William Richard Brooks, Jr., four brothers, an infant brother, and Glenn, Larry, and John Stewart, and four sisters, Linda Roberts, Lila Caprio, Kay McCracken and Esther Thomas.

Wilma worked both as a nurse’s aide and in the bakery at the former Gaudio’s Market. She was also a former member of the Ladies of the Moose in Wellsburg, WV.

She is survived by three loving daughters, Victoria (John) Falcon, Follansbee, WV, Fonda (Walter) DeGarmo, Jr., and Tracy (Ralph) Johnston both of Wellsburg, WV A daughter-in-law, Glenda Brooks, Wellsburg, WV Three brothers, Albert (Lottie) Stewart, Charles (Libby) Stewart, and Gary (Becky) Stewart all of Wellsburg, WV Four sisters, Alberta Owens, Gloria Owens, Wellsburg, WV, Tina George, all of Wellsburg, WV and Carol Kerper, Cleveland, OH, 6 grandchildren, Justin and Jeremy Falcon, Jessica (Nick) Haddox, Danielle (John) Vancamp, Erica (Kyler) Frank, and Megan Johnston 5 Great grandchildren, Macey and Mykayla Vancamp, Emma and Brennan Frank, and Kaden Haddox

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th from 5-8 P.M. and again on Wednesday, June 25th from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 A.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV with Chaplain Thomas Mathes, officiating. Interment will follow in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery in Beech Bottom, WV.
