Clyde Raymond Curry Jr.
Dover- Clyde R. Curry Jr., 86, of Constitution Way passed away on Friday June 20 2014 at the Hyder Family Hospice House surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island; the son of Clyde and Irene Curry. He was the husband of Jane F. Curry. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this past year.
He enlisted in the Marine Corp, receiving a Purple Heart during the Korean War. He was an active member of the Marine Corp League-Seacoast Detachment and greeted many returning Soldiers as part of the Pease Greeters.
Clyde began his law enforcement career as an East Providence Police Officer, promoted to Detective, later moving to the Federal Bureau of ATF. He retired in 1983 at the rank of Special Agent.
His greatest joys were his large family and the many regular gatherings that brought them all together. Clyde was predeceased by his parents, his son Steven, brother John, and sister Margaret. In addition to his wife Jane, He is survived by four sons: Kevin (Karen), Brian (Lynn), James, John (Amy); two daughters: Lori Harrison and Cheryl & James Stevens, fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
