June 19, 2014 Nichols, S.C. Bonnie J. Elliott Mrs. Bonnie Lee Bass Joye Elliott, 75, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at McLeod Hospital in Loris. Mrs. Elliott, a loving mother and homemaker, was born March 27, 1939 in Bladen County, N.C., a daughter of the late William Gordon Bass and the late Lafetta McCall Bass. She attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Mrs. Elliott was predeceased by her first husband, James Joye and her second husband, Herbert Elliott. Surviving Mrs. Elliott are: her Children: Brenda (Wayne) Lewis of Fork, James (JoEve) Joye of Nichols, Michael (Denis) Joye of Augusta, Ga., Mary Bailey of Fork and Wanda (Tommy) Johnson of Nichols; 17Grandchildren; 38 Great Grandchildren; 6 Sisters: Ruby Ransom, Sue Bell and Patsy Guyton, all of Whiteville, N.C., Sandy Tatum of Elizabethtown, N.C. and Linda Alambis and Marsha Fields, both of Evergreen, N.C.; 3 Stepsons: Don, Darrell and David Elliott; and a Special Friend: Shirley Elliott. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 21, at Lake View Cemetery in Lake View, with Rev. Larry Jennings officiating. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
