Carol Irene Rugh, 93, of Trinway, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, June 17, 2014 at her home after a long illness and surrounded by her loving children. Born October 20, 1920 in Muskingum County near Dresden, she was a daughter of the late Rollyn and Mary Ruth (Sarbaugh) Williams and was 1938 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mrs. Rugh was a homemaker and a long time member of Prospect United Methodist Church. She volunteered for many years at Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville. Surviving is one son, David (Renee) Rugh of Somerset, Ohio; two daughters, Sandra (Richard) Queen of Hebron, Ohio and Linda (Gary) Mildenstein of Ida Grove, Iowa; a sister, Clarice Adams of Trinway; eight grandchildren, Kim (Tom) McNulty, Mark (Dana) Queen, Clayton (Bonnie) Rugh, Cheryl Hill, Thomas (Alison) Park, Tara Park, Caron (Dinh) Doan and Andrew Joa; seventeen great grandchildren; sixteen great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 55 years, Robert E. Rugh whom she married December 2, 1945 and who died July 1, 2000; a sister Audrey Harris and a brother, Bryce Williams. Carol’s family wishes to give a very special thanks to her friend and Pastor, the Reverend Sharon Williamson, Mike Stotts, a very good friend, to Genesis Hospice nurse, Kim Caton, Patient Care Techs Marla Bradley and Kim Lynum and the entire staff of Genesis Morrison House, especially Darcy and Chaplain Tim Patton (her Jimmy). Graveside memorial services will be at 1:30pm Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Dresden Cemetery with the Rev. Sharon Williamson officiating. Carol and her husband, Robert will be laid to rest together.
