Gerald Dean age 88 of Brown City died June 15, 2014. He was born January 2, 1926 in Brown City a son of Floyd and Iva (Wilcox) Dean. He attended Burnside Country School and Brown City High School. He was engaged to Vivian Stayhue. A life long farmer and gardener Gerry had also worked at the Buick Plant in Flint for over 20 years. He was also a beekeeper and sold honey and vegetables from his 3 acre garden for many years. He loved baseball and with his brothers they were well known for there skills. He also was a good pheasant hunter and fur trapper. He is survived by a brother Jule (Darlene0 Dean of Florida and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his financee’ Vivian Stayhue and 3 brothers Dewey”Duke”, Berel and Marvin and 2 sisters Velma Button and Izola Stimson. A gathering and viewing was held at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City on Monday June 16, 2014 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m at Carman Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetry.
