Anita grew up on a farm, attended Middle Township High School and met her sweatheart and partner in life John Sr when they were both in junior high school. They married in 1956 and started their family soon after.

Anita was the heart of her family, her home was the gathering place for holidays, birthdays, and family mile-stones as she put all her energy into her family’s lives and her church, St. Benedicts in Plantation . Anita greatest joy was the witnessing and celebrating the accomplishments of family and friends, entertaining, going to the arts, theater, and gardening around her home.

Anita worked at Jersey Bell, Travelers, retail management and the family business Poppy’s Pizza and Subs in Sunrise ; but her main focus in life was her family and church.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at St. Benedicts in Plantation with internment at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Fort Lauderdale . In lieu of flowers Anita actively supported the "St. Benedicts Homeless Project."
