Henry James Bill

Henry James Bill, age 61, passed away June 12th, surrounded by his loving family. Henry was born on April 28th, 1953, the son of Louis and Viola (Meyette) Bill. Henry attended school in Lebanon, NH. Following school he built a life for himself with his hands as his tools. Henry was known as a ‘jack of all trades’. He began his career as a mechanic, where he spent several years as the owner and operator of various automotive shops. In recent years, Henry reconnected with his roots as a farmer and landcare provider.

Henry’s passion was his time spent with family; snowshoeing, ice fishing and smoking meat. Henry’s dedication and love for his family, friends and good times was evident in his preparations for the annual family reunions. Henry was known as a friend to many, and his friendship and generosity will be greatly missed. He has touched many lives in his time on earth.

Henry was predeceased by his parents and brother, Robert Bill. He is survived by his two sons, Clifton (and wife, Lisa) Bill of Dorchester, NH; Travis (and wife, Erika) Bill of Canaan, NH; longtime companion Sherry Laware of Acworth, NH; brothers Louis (Sonny) Bill, Jr. of Enfield, NH, Joseph Bill of Hanover, and a sister Shirley Gibbs of Enfield, NH. Henry has four grandchildren who he loved very much; Tyler, Raeven, Salome and Emma Bill; friend and son’s mother Marie Wolfson; nephews; many close cousins and friends.

Per Henry’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at the Bill farm on Goss Road in Hanover at 2 pm on the 21st of June, 2014. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a local 4-H club.
